When my husband, Yevgeny, and I got married, the first activity I planned for my guests was morning-of yoga. I knew that the day would get crazy in all kinds of good ways, and that I wanted to be centered and comfortable for the festivities ahead.
I actually invited all 100+ guests to an hour-long yoga class the morning of our wedding. The early birds showed up and it was an incredible bonding experience for all of us! For the rest of the day, I felt connected to my guests, my body, my mind, and I was able to simmer down and enjoy all that was to come.
My goal, as a wedding yoga instructor and reiki practitioner, is to create that sense of calm and grounding before your big moment. There are so many options to incorporate yoga and/or reiki into your wedding weekend, including bridal/groom party yoga, private reiki sessions for spouses-to-be, a morning-after yoga class, or anything in-between!
I also read tarot, which can be fun during rehearsal dinner activities or even during the wedding reception.
